The Chinmaya Degree College is located in the holy town of Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The Chinmaya Degree College is accredited to H.N.B. Garhwal University; Srinagar was constituted in the year of 1989 for the progress of the higher education in the regional area. The college was established by the name of Swami Chinmayananda. In the past 21 years the well maintained and most reputed college has earned vast significance in the field of innovative education not even in India but in abroad too. This degree college itself takes the responsibility to make its students a complete human being. The college is placed in the foot of the mighty Himalaya.

Chinmaya College acquires great record in the academic and extra curriculum activity fields. The institution appreciates the hard work, worthful suggestions and ingenious ideas of Shri V. Daulat Singh in the immediate progress of the college. Shri V. Singh is the present president of the Chinmaya College. In the beginning the Chinmaya College was affiliated with C.C.S. University Merrut but now with H.N.B. Garhwal University.

The institution has well designed and well maintained tow floor building. Chinmaya College is comprised of all necessities for the students. It recently added a laboratory considering the vocational courses in the industrial chemistry field and P.G. course of chemistry separately. The institute is also making available a digital library which is now under construction. It has 8 science labs, seminar rooms, common rooms fro boys and girls separately and departmental rooms etc. The students of the college are collectively participates to organize the college's annually programs and in curricular activities.

The chinmaya degree college of sciences was initially affiliated C.C.S university , Merrut but now the college is affiliated to H.N.B Garhwal university , Srinagar Garhwal , Uttranchal.

The Chinmaya Degree College has an impressive double story building furnished with all essential amenities. Recently a well equipped Laboratory is developed for the vocational course of industrial chemistry and for the post graduate course of chemistry separately.The laboratory for Post Graduate course in Physics & Digital Library is under construction.
