Kumaon University, Nainital

Kumaon University is headquartered in Nainital. The University was established in 1973 under the UP State Act. The University has two campuses one each in Nainital and Almora.

Salient Features

College: 2 Campuses and 30 Affiliated Colleges

Faculties: Art, Commerce, Education, Law, Science (including Biotechnology and Pharmacy), Engineering and Technology.

Academic Courses: A range of conventional courses, Biotechnology, Pharmacy and Tourism.

Degrees: Bachelors, Masters, PG Diploma, and PhD in most subjects.

Enrollment: As per AIU data for Year 2001, about 38,000 students, with about equal number of male and female students, are registered. Number of students enrolled in colleges is about 17,000 enrollment varying from 50 to 7,500.

Library: 20,000 Reference Books
