St. Mary's Convent was established by Mother Salesia Reiner in 1878. The institution is a Roman Catholic institution and run/managed by Sisters belonging to IBMV order. The School provides Schooling exclusively to girls from Prep to 12th under ICSE and ISC Board.

The entrance test for these classes is held in late September or early October. The School session runs from March to November. 10th & 12th students sit for the ICSE & ISC Board Examination in March.
