UK Board Result 2013 Summary - Class XII

In the Intermediate exam result, the pass percentage of girls was higher at 84.36% compared to boys at 75.61%. A total of 1,32,648 students gave the exam.

Toppers: Navdeep Trivedi of Sarswati Vidya Mandir Intermediate College near Rudrapryag topped the Intermediate examination after he secured 94% while Akanshya Thapliyal of Chinlyalisain Intermediate College topped among girls after securing 90 %. Average passing percentage was put at 79.82%.

UK Board Result 2013 Summary - Class X

Girls surpassed boys in high School board examination result after they secured a pass percentage of 76.66% compared to 66.68% among boys.

Toppers: Rohit Pant of Ranidhar Intermediate College in Almora district topped with 95.82 %. Ambika Chauhan of Ghansali Intermediate College in Tehri district topped among girls with 93.80 %. About 1,76,333 students had appeared for the high school examination board this year.

Interestingly, Vivekanand Inter College, Almora is a small, nondescript school in Ranidhara, that has created history in the 2013 Uttarakhand Board High School Exams, the results of which came out yesterday. Its students have bagged an astonishing 19 out of the top 25 ranks in the state of Uttarakhand, bagging ranks 1, 2 and 4 as well. This school, which cannot match the govt schools in facilities and salaries, has left them in the dust, proving once more that good education is the result of dedicated teachers and students working in tandem towards a common purpose. And no amount of money the government throws into education and no amount of populist posturing and legislation can be a substitute for that. The government teachers have the money and job security. The underpaid teachers of Vivekanand have pride. #Ranjan Joshi

Uttarakhand Board Examination for Class XII and Class X are conducted by Uttarakhand School Education Council every year in the month of Mar.

This year, Class XII board examinations started on 11 Mar 2013 with a total of 1,34,796 students appearing for the Class 12 Board Exam.

A total of 1,80,114 sudents appeared for Class X board exam which commenced on 12 Mar 2013.

A total of 1,257 test centers have been set up across the state, besides a control room at the Board headquarters here and one each in all the 13 districts for smooth conduct of the examinations, they said.

Total 70.26% students qualified in the 10th Board exam last year. The passing percentage of girls was 76.10 and boys 64.97.   Sameer Riyaz,student of Govt Inter College, Ramnagar topped the High School results with 95.80% marks. Girl topper in 10th Board exam was  Aditi Mamgai with 94.60% marks from Hargovind Suyal Vidya Mandir Inter College Kusumkheda Nainital.
