Dunagiri Retreat is situated 400 km North of Delhi, it takes 10-11 hours to reach Dunagiri from Delhi. 100 km from Nainital, Dunagiri is 43 km from from Ranikhet and about 50 km from Kausani. One can travel to Rishikesh/Haridwar from Dunagiri in 6 hours. Accommodation at Resort Dunagiri Retreat comprises of three lovingly restored houses - Dunagiri House, Trishul Cottage and Panchachuli Cottage. The rooms are designed with an elegant yet relaxed ambience, perfect for you to snuggle up with your favourite book, to sit with a cup of our special herbal tea or to gently withdraw from the outer world into your inner being.

Dunagiri House have best of views from bedroom windows; view snow peaks, sun-rise & sun-sets from rooms here. Modern rooms with wooden flooring, en-suite modern bathrooms. Sitiing/meditation area within rooms.
Trishul Cottage is is 70 meters up from Dunagiri House, with 50-60 gentle steps on a delightful garden path through flowers and fruit trees. Single floor structure with a huge covered verandah in front that offers breaktaking views of snow peaks and vast valleys. Brilliant views of Mt. Trishul. Modern rooms with wooden flooring, en-suite modern bathrooms with open-to-sky spaces. These rooms offer utmost privacy, quietitude and grand views.
Panchachuli Cottage is a single floor cute rural cottage situated a small walk of less than 100 meters down from Dunagiri House. Rooms here are cozy with a wrap-around verandah with lovely views of the Panchachuli range. Mud plastered walls, splintered wood ceilings and a stone flooring give these rooms that warm, rural feel. En-suite modern bathrooms.

We do request 100% advance payment prior to confirmation of bookings. Payment can be made via online intra-bank transfer or demand draft. Please note we cannot collect payment at site.

Cancellation policy: If you cannot travel due to an emergency or due to urgent personal reasons, please inform us at least two weeks (14 days) prior to expected date of arrival to reschedule your visit to a more convenient time. No charges for altering dates, however, discounts, if any, may not be transferrable to altered dates and you may be required to pay the difference between booked and existing rates. Travel must complete within 11 months of orginal schedule. No refunds.

Note: The Retreat is exclusive and not open to guests until reservations are confirmed. Preparations are put into motion, provisions are purchased and arrangements are made specifically for the visiting group. We DO try our level best that each group gets the best possible experience we can deliver. Hence, in this comparatively remote area in near wilderness, it becomes essential for us to plan in advance. To enjoy your visit to the fullest, you MUST make and have bookings confirmed sufficiently in advance. How to Reach Hotel Dunagiri Retreat in Dwarahat

By Road:
Driving to Dunagiri from Delhi takes 10 to 11 hours. Take NH-24 out of Delhi, drive through Ghaziabad, Hapur, Garhmukteshwar, Moradabad, Rampur to Bilaspur, Rudrapur, Haldwani and Kathogodam. After Kathgodam is a scenic hill journey that takes you through Bhimtal, Bhowali, Ranikhet, Dwarahat to Dunagiri.
Another route from Moradabad to Dunagiri is via Bazpur, Kaladhungi, Nainital to Bhowali, Ranikhet, Dunagiri is slightly shorter and more scenic, but you need to enquire road conditions before proceeding..
By Train: The nearest train station is Kathgodam.
