Seasons at Kanatal

Visit in between ‘December to Feb’ if you want to experience a snowfall or if you prefer hills to beaches for a holiday package during Christmas & New Year. May-July is best for tourists from cities experiencing hot climatic conditions and those who would like to enjoy with their kids during their school vacations.

August is the time to walk with the clouds at a height of 8500 ft’ in the Himalayas. Apple orchards and the rain wash forests are the highlights of Kanatal during the Monsoon period.

Feb – March & September – December is the best time if you are planning to come for outdoor activities like trekking/ hiking, camping experience, group outings, picnics, jungle safaris or for special activities like Yoga & Meditation or Rest & Recuperation amongst nature (generally round the year activity).

Duration of Stay

7 nights if you really want to break free and have enrolled for healthcare and wellness programme; 4-5 will prove to be an enriching experience amongst the natural surroundings of Kanatal but 3 nights is highly recommended for some rest and relaxation or to enjoy adventure activities opted for.

What to Carry

Kanatal is at a surface distance of 300 kms from Delhi, 70 kms from Dehradun, 75 kms from Rishikesh and 100 kms from Haridwar. There is an operational airport in Jolly Grant (Rishikesh) and Hi-tech/comfortable Trains like Shatabdi runs everyday from Delhi to Dehradun/Haridwar and then back to Delhi.
