Chestnut Grove - The Himalayan Lodge (earlier known as Wayfarer Retreat) is located in Vijaypur, a tiny Himalayan village, located between Bageshwar and Chaukori is known to only a few travellers. Nestling amongst tall Pine and Chestnut trees, next to the highway and overlooking the Himalayas, Chestnut Grove Himalayan Lodge is a small complex of aesthetically constructed hill cottages constructed from stone, wood bamboo and thatch.
Hotel is situated at an altitude of 2050 meters, which breathtaking views of the entire range from Trishul, Nanda Devi, NandaKot to Panchachuli and Appi peaks.
Weather: In summers it is just cool at Vijaypur. The monsoon months turn the entire landscape into green. Autumn brings settled weather and clear skies offering excellent sighting of the Himalayas. In winters its chilly, and the surrounding ranges are covered in a blanket of snow.
