According to a report in the Business Standard, investors have begun to show interest in setting up spas and resorts at important tourism sites in Uttarakhand. The state government will treat the hospitality ventures as part of the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) segment.
Kodiyala (near Rishikesh) on the Ganga River will see the set up of a resort at an investment of Rs 2.25 Crore; Pindar Glacier Resorts will put up the property. There are about 23 new proposals to come up with spas and hotel properties in the Chamoli district. The government has allowed for a five-star property to come up in Rishikesh under Bharat Hotels. The government has formed a development authority to manage proposals coming in for the Tehri dam reservoir site area. Kempty Falls near Mussoorie is also likely to see resorts; proposals have come in for the same. Baba Ramdev, yoga guru may collaborate with the government to encourage and set up yoga and Ayurvedic huts in Uttarakhand’s hills.

there’s also need for computer education center through which they can access internet and help them to know the crops and fertilizers best for them etc.. there’s a need to start something for that tribal area.. i saw no developments around there by any politician!!
so Sir, its time to do something for them else they will never see and feel what himachal’s tourism did to them.
i want teach them i love to..so like start building something which could be beneficial for them and for uttarakhand for you people who are already into tourism. can’t it possible??? because i dont have enough means to start , need some help!! don’t know how ??

the actual thing is we all only talks about all the good things about this but …truth is that we are not doing any solid efforts towards this ….as i have NGO in uttrakhand i know the truth and i feel the pain of people living here …we have everything in all fields tourism resort buiness and computer education etc.. just waiting to connect with right person. sothat all the work will be go on as it should be …

i think we uttrakhandi are migrated to metro city mainly nct of delhi becouse we have no option to earn for our family. the govt of uttrakhand should be think to this issue, nearabout 25 to 30 percent population of nct of delhi are uttrakhandi but they have no proper link to their hometown no good education for their child, poor transportation system(no train availabe for right time to travel and reach their destination from delhi to rishikesh, kotdwar, ramnagar. we have waist 2 days for only 300 kms so how can we connect to our state. no double lane roads , no proper flights to state. only outer men (rich) are coming and earn money they set up business, our villages are srinking please save it.
being an uttrakhandi we are not able to do job in hotel industry in uttrahad because there is no much choice and govt also not doing much regarding hospitality ?

ONLY AND ONLY TOURISM SECTOR SHOULD BE PROMOTED IN UTTRAKHAND.
GOVT SHOULD CUM UP WITH GRASS ROOT SCHEMES IN THIS SECTOR INVOLVING THE PARTICIPITATION OF LOCAL YOUTHS LADIES AND EX SERVICEMEN.
GOVT SHOULD BUILD SMALL GUEST HOUSES AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS AT EACH HILL DISTRICTS OF THE STATE.PEOPLE WHO HAVE SERVED IN HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY[INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS]FOR MORE THAN 25 YRS SHOULD BE GIVEN PRIORITY FOR SETTING UP HOTEL AND RESORTS.
