Renowned environmentalist and Chipko movement leader Sunderlal Bahuguna today called on Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna and discussed green issues with him.
During a meeting, Sunderlal hoped that comprehensive development would take place in the state under the chief minister’s able leadership, an official release said.
Stating that Vijay Bahuguna, as an MP from Tehri, has carried out several development works in his constituency, Sunderlal said the hydro-college in Tehri was set up due to his efforts.
The chief minister said Sunderlal had made a huge contribution to environment conservation.
He said the state government will also take benefit of Sunderlal’s experiences in the field of environment conservation.
