A jawan of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police allegedly committed suicide in Tanakpur area in Uttarakhand’s Champawat district, police said today.
The body of Narendra Singh, posted at Pithorgarh district near the Nepal border, was found in a hotel room here, they said.
Police broke open the door after the jawan did not respond to repeated knocks in the morning.
A suicide note recovered at the scene said he was not happy with his life due to family problems.
The body had been sent for post-mortem, police said.
