A leopardess was killed today after being hit by an unidentified vehicle in Kaladhungi area of Nainital district.
The big cat, about 4-5 years old, was found dead by forest officials along the roadside, DFO, Ramnagar P S Shrivastava said.
Though the post mortem is still on, preliminary examination suggests it died after being rammed by a vehicle, he said.
