Uttrakhand: CM makes aerial survey of flood hit Uttarkashi

Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Vijay Bahuguna along with Union Minister of state for Agriculture and Parliamentary Affairs, Harish Rawat took stock of the situation after making an aerial survey of flood affected areas of Uttarkashi district.

They apprised the Prime Minister about the loss caused by flash flood. So far, 31 people are reported to have lost their lives in flash flood.

According to the reports from District administration property worth Rs 600 crore has been damaged by recent flash flood triggered by cloud burst and landslide.

4 companies of PAC along with 50 official of National Disaster Relief Force have been pressed into service to carry out relief operation in full swing.

The Army engineering core has reached the damaged site of Gangori Bridge and started making an alternate rally bridge connecting Uttarkashi to Gangori.

Additional Jawans from Border Road Organisation have also arrived to ensure proper service in the National Highway. Meanwhile, 4 injured persons have been air lifted to Dehradun.
