Dehra Dun: With a view to giving fresh impetus to industrial growth, the Uttarakhand government will invite top IT players and industrialists to invest in the hill state, Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna said on Friday.
“We will invite IT players and industrialists so that we can move ahead on the path of development. For this purpose, we will also shortly organise a seminar,” said Bahugna after inaugurating the headquarters building of the government-run state Infrastructure and Industrial Development Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited (SIDCUL).
Besides, Bahuguna also laid the foundation stone of the Rs 80-90 crore IT park building which he said would be equipped with full modern facilities.
Bahuguna said his government would provide all facilities to the new ventures on the lines of Bangalore and Hyderbad.
Bahuguna said the new IT park will have five floors which include state data centre and incubation centre.
The network of SWAN project would also be shifted to the new IT park, he said.
Lauding the new corporate office of SIDCUL, Bahuguna said by visiting the place he felt that he has “come to New York”.
Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director SIDCUL Rakesh Sharma said that SIDCUL has chalked out plans to boost the IT sector in a big way.
He said SIDCUL would soon set up new industrial estates at Sitarganj and Kashipur on the lines of integrated industrial estates of Haridwar and Pantnagar.
