The pilgrims of Chardham Yatra are facing problems due to heavy snowfall and bad weather conditions in the region, hence the State authority of Uttrakhand is appealing to its visitors to come prepared with more woolens.
“Chardham” located in the Garhwal region of the state is the circuit consist of four sites- Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri and is considered to be one of the most sacred pilgrimage in Hindu mythology. All these sites are unique in its own fashion, but are often viewed together in the popular imagination and in pilgrimage practice. With the majestic and mystifying Himalayas in the background, the four holy places amaze and attract tourists and pilgrims in between June and September. But this year bad weather affects the Chardham Yatra, as the extreme cold conditions in the region is making travelling difficult for the pilgrims.
The four dhams are not only blessed with scenic beauty, but a long history also. Every Hindu wishes to go on Chardham yatra to give a meaningful end to his life.
