Patal Bhuvaneshwar: Patal Bhubaneshwar is sub-terranean shrine of Lord Shiva situated 109kms from Didihat. The way to the temple is through a tunnel which leads into the cavern through a narrow dark passage of water. You can see many rocks having various shapes and figures which resembles many gods and goddesses. This cave temple is also said to be the abode of thousands of gods. This site is visited by thousand of pilgrims every year and especially on the auspicious day of Shivratri. It is situated 52kms from Didihat.

Pithoragarh: It is surrounded by Nepal to the east and Tibet to the north. The place is popular for its exquisite natural beauty and is widely known as the “Little Kashmir.” Pithoragarh lie at a height of 1650mts above sea level offering picturesque views. Pithoragarh has a lot of historical importance. It was one of the main centers of power during the Chand Rajas of Kumaon. From this region, pilgrims begin their journey to the holiest shrines of Mansarovar and Kailash. A magnificent fort, the Pithoragarh Fort stands tall in Pithoragarh. It was construted by the Gurkhas in the 18th century. The weather of Pithoragarh remains salubrious throughout the year and the beauty of Pithoragarh heals us from tension and stress. The best time to visit Pithoragarh is throughout the year. Pithoragarh is situated at a distance of 65kms from Didihat.

Munsyari: Munsyari offers splendid vistas of natural beauteousness as it is nestled in the snow capped peaks of the Himalayas. Munsyari is situated 38kms from Didihat at an altitude of 2298mts above sea level. Munsyari is famous for its picteresque beauty and trekking excursions. Munsiyari is the camp of the trekkers to the Milam, Ralam and Namik Glaciers.

Abbott Mount: Situated at an elevation of 2018mts Abbott Mount offers a peaceful and picturesque environment. Abbott Mount remains covered with the sheets of snow during winters. The enchanting snow clad Himalayan peaks can be seen from Abbott Mount. It is located away from hustle bustle of the city and there are only 13 secluded cottages spread over this hill. Abbott Mount is situated in 120kms from Didihat offering tranquility with exquisiteness.

Kausani: It is one of the most popular hill stations of Kumaon perched at an elevation of 1890mts above sea level. Situated 112kms from Didihat this charming hill resort set amidst several snow- capped peaks is endowed with extraordinary natural beauteousness. Mahatma Gandhi and was absolutely fascinated by the scenic grandeur of Kausani while a visit in year 1929. Sumitra Nandan Pant, a renowned Hindi poet was born in Kausani.

Almora: The district of Almora is a picturesque place located in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. Almora is famous for its magnificent beauty, panoramic view of the Himalayas, rich cultural heritage, exquisite wildlife, unique handicrafts and delicious cuisine. It is located at a height of 5,400ft above sea level and is spread across a 5-km ridge atop Kashaya Hill. It is surrounded by Pithorgarh to the east, Garhwal to the west, Bageshwar to the north and Nainital to the south. Almora has been developed by the Chand Rajas and then maintained and further developed by the British. It is known as the ‘Switzerland of India’ and the place has also been made famous by Swami Vivekananda who meditated in the region. It is situated 118kms from Didihat.

Binsar: It is situated at a distance of 89km from Didihat. A famous temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, Bineshwar is the major crown puller of Binsar. Perched at an elevation of 2,412mts above sea level, this temple was constructed by King Kalyan of the Chand Dynasty.  The views of major peaks like Chaukhamba, Panchchuli, Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot, Kedarnath and other peaks are stimulating from here.

Bageshwar: Bageshwar is situated 74kms from Didihat and it is the new district headquarters and center of administration of Danapur. Bageshwar derives its name from Bagnath, a famous temple in this region. Every year, Bagnath attracts thousands of pilgrims from all over as it is believed that Lord Shiva wandered here as a tiger. It is located at the confluence of Saryu and Gomti rivers. The popular Uttarayani fair is held every year in January in Bageshwar. Bageshwar is also used as the base camp by trekkers for Pindari.
