Dhanaulti: Dhanaulti is situated 22kms from Kanatal amidst thick alpine forests of deodar, rhododendron and oak and it offers an atmosphere of perfect peace & tranquility. Dhanaulti often brings surprise for the tourists as the beauty of Dhanaulti is yet to be explored and is less popular amongst people. The woods, cool environment, scenic valleys, lovely weather and enchanting view of snow capped peaks of majestic Himalayan range makes it an ideal retreat for a relaxed holiday. Dhanaulti is situated on the Mussoorie - Chamba route. Dhanaulti is situated at an altitude of approximately 2000mts above sea level. The popularity of scenic beauteousness of Dhanaulti is now emerging as a travel destination. If you want to get away from the crowd and busy markets of Mussoorie, then head towards Dhanaulti.

Surkanda Devi: Surkanda Devi is an ancient temple located near Dhanaulti set at a breathtaking elevation of approximately 10,000 ft or 3030mts above sea level. This temple is dedicated to Shankar's consort - Sati and one can reach there through 2 km easy trek. The trek to Surkanda Devi goes through dense forest rich in varied flora and fauna. The trek affords majestic and unforgettable view of the panoramic snow clad peaks of the splendid Himalayan range. Legend has it that the head of the charred body of Goddess Sati fell here when Lord Shiva was taking her remains along with him after she give her life in the yajna started by her father. Surkhanda Devi Temple has gained significant importance amongst the locals and is frequented by devotees all the year round.

Rishikesh: Rishikesh is an ideal spot for white water rafting and camping on the river beach. Rishikesh comer under the shivalik range of the Himalayas and the place is also the home of numerous temples. It is one of the busiest places of Uttarakhand where lakhs of tourists visit every month throughout the year. Rishikesh is situated 75kms from Kanatal.

Mussoorie: Mussoorie is a hill station which needs no introduction as it is one of the most frequently visited hill station of India. Mussoorie is visited by lakhs of tourists throughout the year. Mussoorie is set in the foothills of Himalayas in the Dehradun district of Garhwal region in Uttarakhand state. Mussoorie is situated 33kms from Kanatal and is set at an elevation of 2005mts above sea level. The place is situated amidst green hills and is rich in varied flora and fauna that’s why Mussoorie is also known as ‘queen of the hills’. Kempty Falls, the mall road, Bhatta falls, Gunhill and Lal Tibba are some of the popular places nearby Mussoorie.

New Tehri:New Tehri is the only planned town of Uttarakhand state which was made during the construction of the Tehri dam. Every month thousands of tourists visit Tehri to see the stagnant water of the massive Tehri Dam. The Dam is situated amidst high mountains many of which are submerged under water. New Tehri is very well connected with motorable roads. Tehri is situated 35kms from Kanatal. There are many good hotels in New Tehri.

Dehradun: The city of Dehradun is the capital of Uttaranchal and the headquarters of Dehradun district. Dehradun is surrounded by the Himalayas in the north, the Shivalk Hills to the south, the Yamuna to the west and the Ganga to the east. Dehradun is the gateway to the famous hill station of Mussoorie and the pilgrimage spots of Haridwar and Rishikesh. It boasts of some of India’s finest schools like the Doon School, Welham School for girls and boys and institutions like the Forest Research Institute, the Indian Military Academy and the Forest Research Institute. Dehradun is one of the oldest cities in India and is believed that Lord Rama and his brother did penance here for killing Ravana.  It is situated 68kms from Kanatal.

Chamba: Chamba offers panoramic views of the majestic Himalayan range and the sacred view of the Bhagirathi River. Chamba is situated 16kms from Kanatal and 18 kms from New Tehri at an altitude of 1676mts above sea level. Chamba is unlike Mussoorie as the place provides peace and tranquility. The place is quite and serene with pine and deodar trees everywhere.
