Lansdowne: Lansdowne is unlike other hill stations as it is well connected with motorable roads but remote in its own way. Lansdowne is one of the quietest hill stations of India and is popular since Britishers came to India. It is situated at an altitude of 1700mts above sea level surrounded with thick oak and blue pine forests. Lansdowne is located 40kms from Kotdwara. Lansdowne is a Cantonment area and therefore there are limited hotels at this place. Do make prior bookings in the hotels before visiting Lansdowne.

Tarkeshwar Mahadev: This place is named for the temple Tarkeshwar Mahadev dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is an ideal place for those who wish to seek solace in the lap of nature. This place is surrounded by thick forests of deodar and pine affording scenic vistas of Nature. Tarkeshwar temple is 70 km from Kotdwara

Pauri: Pauri is situated at an elevation of 1814mts above sea level 101 km from Kotdwar. Pauri Garhwal is located on the northwest slopes of Kandoliya Hills in Garhwal region of Uttarakhand state. Diverse in topography and filled with places of tourist's interest, most locations in Pauri offers the invigorating view of the majestic snow-capped peaks of Himalayan range.

Haridwar: Haridwar is situated at an altitude of 295mts above sea level on the banks of the sacred Ganga River. It is the gateway to the Char Dhams of Hindus situated in Uttarakhand, namely Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Yamunotri. Haridwar is also written as Hardwar. The meaning of Haridwar in hindi language means Dwar of Hari or Gateway to God where 'Hari' means god and 'dwar' means gate. Haridwar is visited by lakhs of devotees every month to take a sacred dip in the holy water of Ganga River. Kumbh Mela will be celebrated after a long span of 12 years in Haridwar in the year 2010. Har-ki-Pauri, Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi are the main attraction of the town. Haridwar is situated 76kms from Kotdwar.

Ramnagar: It is situated in the Nainital district of Kumaon region of Uttarakhand state on the banks of Kosi River at an elevation of 345mts above sea level. Ramnagar town was established in 1856 by Commissioner H.Ramsay. Ramnagar is situated in the rich farm belt of Terai, on the southeastern fringes of the great forests. The busy market town of Ramnagar is the main administrative centre for Corbett National Park and Project Tiger. Ramnagar is connected with motorable roads as well as railway networks. Its proximity with Corbett national park and Nainital makes it even more popular destination. Ramnagar is the ideal spot for fishing camp and the place offers as an administrative centre for Corbett national park. Ramnagar is also famous for Litchi farming. Ramnagar is situated at a distance of 85kms from Kotdwar.
