Dehradun to Mussoorie

Mussoorie is 38 Kms from Dehradun and provides unmatched driving experience.  The trip offers a wonderful view of the Himalayan snow ranges to the north-east and the Doon Valley, with Roorkee, Saharanpur and Haridwar to the South, creating an almost serene atmosphere for the tourists.

Dehradoon to Mussoorie Bus Service
There are frequent roadways buses operating from Dehradun to Mussoorie. There are various private bus operators as well. The bus ticket is very affordable from Dehradun. It takes around 1 and a half hour to reach Mussoorie by bus. The Dehradun Mussoorie bus stand is located next to Dehradun Railway Station.

There are two bus routes from Dehradun which go to opposite ends of the Mussoorie Mall, Library and Picture Palace. It is quite a hike from one to the other, so make sure you catch the right one. To reach Kempty Falls directly from Dehra Dun catch a bus from the DehraDun Railway station Hill Bus Services Section or take a taxi. One should look for buses heading for destinations like Barkot, Nainbagh, Yamunotri, and Purola (Caution: sometimes Purola buses go via Vikas nagar which may take you off the route completely so be careful). You can also take a bus to the Library end of Mussoorie and walk to the Kempty Bus stop and take a bus or taxi or a milkvan or even hitch a ride with a tourist going in that direction.

There are no trains or flights to Mussoorie from Dehradun.
