Uttarakhand Employment Department is the department which takes the major decision on employment, creating new jobs, training, the notification related to vacancies and more. The department administers the Employment Exchanges.

Currently 25 employment exchanges are functioning in Uttarakhand which are made up of State Employment Exchange , Divisional Employment Exchanges, District/Town Employment Exchanges, Rural Employment Exchanges, Scheduled Caste (SC) Cell at State Employment Exchange, Physically Handicapped (PH) Cell at State Employment Exchange, and University Employment Information and Guidance Bureau.

Functions of Employment Exchanges:

The Employment Exchanges mainly perform three types of functions

  • Registration of applicants and their placement, providing vocational guidance to job seekers.
  • Collecting employment market information data from establishments in the organised sector.
  • Providing free services to employers as well as to job seekers.
  • Conduct area specific specialized study/surveys termed as area reports. This report has an assessment of skills available and the marketable skills required for encouraging the job-seekers for self-employment particularly in rural informal sector.
  • Preparation of career literature for counseling and vocational guidance.

How to Register yourself at Employment Office in Uttarakhand

Step 1: Open this link http://164.100.128.41:8080/ or click here

Step 2: On the top – check three options as seen in the below picture:

  1. Download Job Seeker Registration Form
  2. New Job Seeker
  3. New VG Seeker
  4. New Employer

Click on the option i.e New job seeker:

Step 3: After clicking on New job seeker a new window will open. Select your State District and Exchange Office and then click on next. Check Below Picture

Step 4: Fill the form carefully with all the correct information about you, your domicile certificate detail, and upload one photos of your(size less than 1mb) and then click on Next.

Step 5: Take the Acknowledgement slip -> then click on the proceed button.

Step 6: Fill the Qualification Details in the form that appears below for all the degreeor diploma you have completed (starting for academics). Click the Add button for each Degree and then Next Button.

Step 7: Fill the Experience Details (if any)in the form that appears after you clicknext. Click the Save button and then Next Button.

Step 8: Fill the Language Details in the form that appears and then Click the Next Button.

Step 9: Fill the Addition Information Details in the form and then Click the Next Button.

Step 10: Now take final print out of the Information you have entered . After you complete this form you have Edit menu to edit any information if entered incorrectly.
