Mohan Lal Sah Bal Vidya Mandir MLSBVM Nainital was established in 1959 by Birla Education Trust with name then Birla Balika Vidya Mandit and Bharat Ratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad, then President of India, himself laid the foundation stone of the school. It was then a girl wing of the famous Birla Vidya Mandir School. Later in 1978, it separated from Birla Education Trust and new governing body Uttarakhand Shiksha Bharati Society renamed as Mohan Lal Sah Bal Vidya Mandir.
