Academics in St. Thomas College
St Thomas College (STC) prepares students for the 10th grade national ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) examinations. The School also prepares students for the 12th grade national ISC examination conducted by the Council for ISC (Indian School Certificate) Examination, New Delhi. The medium of instruction in School is English.
St Thomas College has an impressive college placement record with students attending elite institutions in both India and abroad, such as the IITs, NITs, St. Stephen’s College, AIIMS, University of Oxford, Harvard Business School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

St. Thomas’ College is affiliated to the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE). English is the medium of instruction, and the Council administers two public examinations – The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) at the end of year X and, subsequently, the Indian School Certificate (ISC) at the end of year XII. Both examinations are held annually in March.

The academic year at St. Thomas’ College consists of three terms – the first term from April to May, a second term from July to December and the third term from January to March.
Curriculum in St. Thomas College
The subjects taught are English Language and Literature, Hindi Language and Literature, Sanskrit, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, History (both Indian and World), Geography, Civics, General Science, Art, Human and Social Biology, Commerce, Economics, Principles of Accounts, Physical Training, Moral Science and Computer studies.
Registration and Admission Procedure
The minimum age of a child at the time of admission in St. Thomas College shall be seven years in Class III, completed as on 31 March or earlier but not later in any case.
The Admission Form, available from the Principal, is to be filled very carefully after passing the test/interview. No admission will be considered until all requirements are fully met.
Each pupil, at the time of admission, must produce
1) A Transfer Certificate in original from the last recognized School/college attended.
2) A Medical Certificate of health from an MBBS Doctor
