Shivalaya is an ancient Hindu temple located on a tiny hamlet called Bagwan. This place is situated on a favourable distance of 88 Km from Rishikesh–Badrinath motorable road. This sacred Shiva temple houses a garbhagriha (sanctum sanctorum) and a booth. Many devotees visit this temple to pay obeisance to the Shiva Linga, which is enshrined in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.

The ruins of Amalsarikao, columns and Gajsingh have been found in the premises of the temple, which is believed to be of the cluster of 12-13 century temples.
