The Kanwar Yatra will take place during the Hindu month of Shravan from 20 July to 2 August
Pilgrims collect holy water from the Ganges in brass or copper pots.
Haridwar is a major starting point, where pilgrims gather at Har Ki Pauri to collect Ganges water.
