Day 01: Delhi – Dehradun – Uttarkashi – Raithal – Upper Raithal

Drive – 435kms | Trek – 1km

The journey will start from Delhi at night. We will supposedly reach Uttarkashi around noon. Uttarkashi is one of the major towns of Uttarakhand. It’ll take another one and a half hour drive to reach Raithal.

Raithal to Upper Raithal is a short hike of just 1km which can be easily done in less than an hour. The well-marked trail begins from the terrace fields of the village and climbs up to the forest entry point. It is an ideal campsite to mark the beginning of the trek with unobstructed views of Mt. Shrikanth, Mt. Jaunli & Mt. Draupadi ka Danda.

Note: All trekkers are expected to carry their own backpacks with personal belongings.

Day 02: Upper Raithal – Ghuyin – Dayara Bugyal

Trek – 7kms, 5hrs

Start off early in the morning post breakfast. Trail snack will be provided for the trek. 5 minutes into the trail and you’ll enter a beautiful forest rich in flora and fauna. 4kms gradually ascending route from Upper Raithal leads to shepherd huts at Ghuyin, a quaint little hamlet straight out of a fantasy world. After a short break at Ghuyin we’ll proceed towards Dayara Bugyal.

The trail becomes easy with less incline from Ghuyin to Dayara Bugyal. Couple of shepherd huts marks the beginning of Dayara Bugyal. If traveling during winters, this might be the perfect camping spot for you because the higher reaches of Dayara Bugyal will be covered with 2-3ft of snow. During remaining time of the year you can trek further to Dayara Bugyal and camp near a water source. This days trek goes through open land and dense forest at different places and finally ends up at the vast expanse of lush green meadow – Dayara Bugyal.

Note: All trekkers are expected to carry their own backpacks with personal belongings.

Day 03: Dayara Bugyal – Bakaria Top – Dayara Bugyal

Trek – 6kms, 3hrs

Wake up to enjoy the most beautiful day of this trek. Start off late if the weather is nice and walk further to map the lengths and breadths of Dayara Bugyal. Explore the virgin landscape, there will be plenty of photography opportunities for you because Dayara Bugyal looks different from every angle. Follow a steep climb towards right to reach Bakaria Top (3810mts), highest point in the nearby region. Bakaria Top is around 3kms from Dayara Bugyal. Watch the horizon from the top and trek back to Dayara Bugyal for hot lunch.

Note: All trekkers are expected to carry their own backpacks with personal belongings.
