Snow Pod is a high concept luxury resort which is located in the charming village of Makkumath near Chopta. The Resort is one of a kind as it has premium accommodations where the staff provides you with luxury services.
The Snowpod Eco-Camp has cottages which are shaped like an igloo, Japanese cottages and dormitories. These cottages serve as rooms which are immersed into the natural landscape of The Himalayas. The guests at Snowpod get to have an experience of staying indoors while enjoying the beauty of outdoors in a luxurious accommodation.
Note: Earlier Snow Pod Resort was in Chopta and now it is shifted to Makku Village which is 20 kms from Chopta.
The Camp provides two different types of accommodations, one for family and the other for group. The Group Pod and Family Pod are both equipped with all the necessary amenities that are required by the guests to make their stay and absolute delight. Each pod has an attached bathroom, seating area and other necessary facilities. Each pod is spacious and is utterly neat and tidy and therefore the ambience of the room is no less than a cherry on the cake for the guests.
The Snow Pod has its very own in-house restaurant where you get the privilege to satiate your taste buds with the organic and locally produced fruits and vegetables. The food served is traditional and homely with an unprecedented culinary delight in the wilderness of the Himalayas. The Chef has a team of locals who have mastered the regional cuisine, you will have some gastronomical experiences created with locally sourced ingredients and recipes. The Barbecue Facility at the Resort will leave your heart delighted while you much on to your favorite veg and non-veg cuisine sitting on the terrace of the pod and indulging in the panoramic views of the Himalayas. A live kitchen serves you authentic cuisine and mountain specialties. The flavors of authentic herb and vegetables like radish, carrots, potatoes, broccoli etc will intensify the flavors of your food.

The Eco Camp Resort is located at the Himalayan village of Makkumath in Uttarakhand. There are many nearby excursions that you can travel to such as Chopta, Tungnath Temple, Chandrashila, Madmaheshwar, Deoria Tal, Kalimath, Kedarnath Temple, Gaurikund, Gopeshwar etc.
By Road- The camp is licated in Chopta at a distance of 249km from Dehradun and 209km from Rishikesh. You can travel till Dehradun or Rishikesh via bus or taxi as there are a number of transport facilities from various states of India to Rishikesh and Dehradun. Further from Rishikesh and Dehradun you can board a bus or a taxi that goes via Srinagar, Garhwal to Rudraprayag to Chopta.
By Rail- The nearest Railway Station is the Rishikesh Railway Station at a distance of 209km from the Camp. There are a number taxi and cab services that are available from the Railway Station till the Camp. You can also board a bus from the Rishikesh to Chopta. Rishikesh is well connected to railways that go accross the town.
By Air- The nearest Airport is the Jolly Grant Airport located at Dehradun. It is located at a distance of 226km from the camp. There are frequent flights from all parts of the country till the Jolly Grant Airport. From there you can board a bus or book a taxi till Chopta.
