The rustic hotel is built on the ancestral land known as Gahana Orchards near Mukteshwar. Oak Chalet is a secluded guest house which is cocooned in the Kumaon region of the great Himalayas. It is perched at an elevation of 2286 mts near the temple town of Mukteshwar. The steep slopes and the gentle valley is a hot spot for trekking, rock climbing and nature quest. This area was famously known by the 1910 hunt for, The Muketshwar Man-eater as described by Jim Corbett.
The perfectly fashioned 4 double bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with its own private entrance and clean bathroom. The interior has a blend of traditional and modern craft. The hotel wsa built by skillfull local artisians in the era of fast disappearing traditional art form. The stone masonry and carpentry done by the traditional Kumaoni artists is remarkable. By Road :

Buses run frequently to Haldwani and Nainital, 270 km approximately from Delhi to all these destinations. From Kathgodam or Haldwani, Oak Chalet is 2 hours away by road 75 km approximately. Whereas, Nainital is 1.5 km away.
By Train :
From the capital Delhi trains run to Kathgodam upto three times a day. Two trains are available from Delhi , the overnight Ranikhet Express that operates between Old Delhi station and Kathgodam Shatabdi. It is a morning Shatabdi that operates between Anand Vihar station and Kathgodam.
By Air :
