Plyo

Plyo is delicious Uttarakhand dish made with buttermilk and Ragi flour (Mandue Ka Atta or Chuna). It is similar to Kadi.

Ingredients

  1. Mandua - 300 gms
  2. Buttermilk - 600 ml
  3. Oil - 100 ml
  4. Whole Garam Masala - 15 gms
  5. Ginger Garlic paste - 30 gms
  6. Chopped Onion - 200 gms
  7. Red Chilli powder - 15 gms
  8. Turmeric powder - 1 Tea Spoon
  9. Cumin Seeds - 5 gms
  10. Coriander Seeds - 5 gms
  11. Salt to taste

Method (Recipe)

  1. Mix Buttermilk and Mandua ka aata well
  2. Fry onions in oil with cumin seeds, coriander seeds, ginger garlic paste.
  3. Add whole Garam Masala, Salt, red chilli powder and tumeric powder.
  4. Add buttermilk-mandua mix and simmer it for 10 minutes.
