Uttarakhand Forest Department

Forest Department of Uttarakhand is the department which is responsible for managing the forest area and biodiversity of Uttarakhand. 

 Uttarakhand is a very precious state in the terms of natural resources like forests, rivers, wildlife, mountains and more. Uttarakhand Forest Department is one of the oldest department with the history of forestry.

General Tasks of Forest Department

The Conservator of Forests Wildlife management is responsible for implementing the program of wildlife conservation sponsored by the State or Central government and deals with the national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, zoos etc.
