The Goat Village Nag Tibba, established by Green People in 2016, is more than just a homestay—it’s a socio-commercial initiative aimed at promoting sustainable rural tourism and supporting the local Garhwali community. The project was born out of a vision to encourage reverse migration, bringing locals back to their villages by creating financially rewarding opportunities through tourism and agriculture.
The Goat Village Nag Tibba offers a unique blend of sustainable tourism, cultural immersion, and adventure at an elevation of 7,700 ft (2,347 m). Located halfway along the trek to Nag Tibba, the "Serpent’s Peak" at 9,915 ft (3,022 m), this eco-friendly farmstay is a haven for those seeking to disconnect from urban chaos and reconnect with nature.
The initiative has been recognized with accolades like the Outlook Responsible Tourism Award 2019 and the WTM World Responsible Tourism Award 2019, reflecting its commitment to environmental consciousness and community upliftment.
What to Expect: The Goat Village offers a slow-travel experience, encouraging guests to unwind without the pressure of “must-do” activities.
