Kamrunag Weather: Kamru valley has very cool climate throughout the year, very heavy snowfall in winters and rain can happen any time so keeping poncho, raincoats is a must no matter at what time of the year you are doing trekking of Kamrunag. The temperature goes down under freezing points in winters. Summers is the best time to visit Kamrunag and it is advisable to bring warm clothes because weather is unpredictable there.

Kamrunag lake during winters: The lake is completely frozen in winters and only experienced trekkers should go there during winters. Walking on the frozen lake and a slide along the slanting snowy surfaces can be a pleasant experience to anyone. For new trekkers, it is advisable to visit Kamarunag during summers.

Fair at Kamrunag: Saranahuli fair in the month of June from 14 June to 16 June held every year at lake side, lots of people of Mandi and nearby district of Himachal attend the fair, devotees offers coins in to the lake,it is said that quantity of coins and metals are unknown in the lake.

In case of night stay at Kamrunag Lake, there are no staying options. You can do camping near the lake either by getting some local camping trekking package or taking your own food and camping equipment. You can also do the day trek to Kamrunaag come done before evening and stay at Rohanda or Sundernagar.

Kindly make sure to bring food items as there is nothing available here, but if you are going to visit in local fair time which is held from 14 to 16 June every year, food stall along with other shops and free langar (free foods) will be there.
