    Kareri Lake is situated at an altitude of 2950 m above sea level in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. It is located in the beautiful Dhauladhar range.     Kareri Lake trek's total distance is 27 km on one side and it requires a minimum of 3 days to complete this trek. It starts with forests of pine and broadleaf, and slowly transitions into grasslands, with patches of deodars and pine.

    Best Time to Visit Kareri Lake Trek

    May, June, September, and October are the best months to do Kareri Lake Trek. We suggest you avoid trekking here in the monsoon season because it witnesses heavy rainfall which occurs in landslides and the trek route will get slippery and dangerous for trekkers. The temperature of this place changes with the season. The temperature goes up to 43 degrees during the summer season and goes negative in the winter season.

    Day 1:- Dharamshala to Kareri Village to Reoti Village

    Arrive at Dharamshala, drive to Kareri village. After reaching Kareri Village get a delicious lunch there and start your trek to Reoti Village. After reaching Reoti Village, check-in to the camps and rest for while, enjoy the beautiful surrounding. Dinner and overnight stay at Reoti Village.

    Day 2: Reoti Village to Kareri Lake Trek

    After breakfast, start your trek to Kaleri lake from Reoti Village. After reaching Kareri lake, witness the beauty of the lake, capture some beautiful pictures. Dinner and overnight stay at Kareri Lake.

    Day 3: Trek from Kareri Lake to Kareri Village to Dharamshala

    After breakfast, start your trek back to Kareri Village from Kareri Lake. After reaching Kareri Village drive to Dharamshala. Our services will be finished once you reach Dharamshala.
