The Master in Computer Application (MCA) started as a regular three-year course in the year 2000 with an intake of 30 students. Previously the seats were filled through UPMCAT, UAJET and AIMCET. Now the seats are filled through UAMCET. The Department has a separate block with full-fledged infrastructural and state of art laboratory facilities

Bachelor degree of minimum three years duration with 50% marks in any discipline but with Mathematics as one subject at 10+2 level or at graduation.

The Departmental library in the Chauras campus constitutes of three separate sections namely Reference books section, Journals section and Audio video section. The departmental library core block is well stocked with more than 4,000 copies on Computer Science, Management and Mathematics authored by Indian and foreign writers.
The Journal section is full of good journals supported by national and international computer science and IT e-journals available through INFILIBNET, a prestigious information network of UGC.The Audio-Video section, equipped with the latest Audio-Video systems, with information and lecture VCDs of eminent professors from reputed colleges/organizations.

Linux Lab
The Linux Lab with six terminals has practical sessions related to operating system including Inter Process Communication (IPC), compressed file system, Usage of shared memory and shell programming.
Networking and Internet Lab
The Networking Lab with 100Mbps LAN is configured with three 24-port Ethernet Switches having an extended Star-topology for the nodes.
128 Kbps FTDMA VSAT Facility
A small outdoor antenna (1.2/1.8/2.4 meters), a low power Out Door Unit (ODU), an in Door Unit (IDU) .The VSAT supports TCP/IP, X.25 and X.28 protocols. The IDU provides the interfaces for connecting the user's machines LAN port with UTP (RJ45) interface.
CISCO Networking Lab
With the help of following Ethernet, Routers etc. a CISCO networking Lab is established.
