Wynberg Allen School Mussoorie

Wynberg Allen School was founded in 1888 and is one of India's oldest educational institutions. Wynberg Allen School is located on the hills near Kulri, Mussoorie, India, this Mussoorie School has always maintained an excellent standard of holistic education and co-curricular activities for its students. The school in Mussoorie is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations Delhi and conducts the ICSE (class 10) and ISC (class 12) examinations.

This Mussoorie school is a residential co-educational institution and accommodates around 700 children out of whom 550 are boarders and one of the best boarding school in Mussoorie. It runs from January to December, and the academic year during which the students are in residence and attend classes extends normally from March to November.

• Library: The library acts as a center of academic and intellectual development for staff and students, and contains encyclopedias, various series of world books and over 10,000 publications. The library subscribes to national and international periodicals, journals and newspapers.
• Audio-Visual Room: The Audio Visual Room is equipped with a television, tape-recorder, over-head projector, computer, and LCD Projector. Teachers use these to deliver lessons and screen educational films.
• Computer Lab: Three internet-enabled computer laboratories with over 150 computers are designed to meet the students’ Information Technology needs.
• Science Lab: Three science laboratories provide a requisite hands-on experience which is the heart of science teaching. Science teachers along with with with the lab assistant plan various demonstrations and experiments to ignite curiosity and inculcate a scientific temperament in the students.
• Sports Facilities: The School has excellent sports facilities, which include indoor and outdoor basketball courts, two squash court, 20 table tennis tables, four badminton indoor courts, an indoor tennis court, and 2 multipurpose grounds and a heated swimming pool. Opportunities for team games and physical training are facilitated by trained physical instructors and teachers. Students practice yoga and pursue sports like table tennis, volleyball, basketball, badminton, throwball, squash, tennis, swimming, and athletics. They also enjoy board games like carrom and chess. The annual Inter-school and Inter-house athletics meetings are held to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship every year.
• Performing Arts: A dedicated room is used to hone skills in vocal and instrumental music, dance and drama.

Co-curricular Activities in Wynberg Allen School Mussoorie

Various clubs and societies functioning in the school organize debates, declamation contests, exhibitions, drama, audio-visual shows, hiking, trekking, quiz competitions, electronics, and many other vocational projects. Educational and suitable feature films are screened at regular intervals.A fine auditorium, dining hall, study room, and swimming pool are available on the school campus. Various clubs, contests, and exhibitions are organized. Special coaching for sports and games including hockey, basketball, table tennis, roller skating, badminton, swimming, and athletics are provided.

Admission in Wynberg Allen School Mussoorie

Wynberg Allen School Admissions, where vacancies exist, are made on the basis of an entrance examination/interview. Those children who are registered will be notified of the date of the examination. After examining the child, the Principal reserves the right to admit the child into the class deemed suitable for him/her.  Preference in Wynberg Allen School admission is given to boarders who qualify. Normally the last date for registration for day scholars is 15 September and for boarders 30 September. The official Application Form, attached with the Prospectus, must be completed and registered by paying the Registration Fee, which is not refundable. However, Wynberg Allen School registration does not guarantee a seat reservation.
