Seemant Institute of Technology (SIT) is a frontline technical college which was established in 2011 by the Government of Uttarakhand. It is a constituent of Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun which has been formulated to provide technical education in the vulnerable and remote areas of the state. For enrolling in B.Tech at Seemant Institute Of Technology the student must score 45% in Physics, Maths & Chemistry/Computer Science at 10+2 level. The duration of the course is 4 years comprising 8 semesters of a full time regular engineering degree. Admissions are based on the marks scored in JEE exam. 100% seats are filled through JEE score based counseling conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun. Out of total seats, 90% seats are reserved for Uttarakhand domociles and 10% for all India students.
