Chanfi near Nainital and Bhimtal, Uttarakhand) is well known for its rustic farms. It benefits from a moderate climate, mid-level altitudes (4,500 feet above sea level) and a spring-fed river as the water source. The farms here produce a lot of the quite season vegetables, as well as English vegetables & salad leaves for export. Soulitude by the Riverside is located in Chanfi village, reachable via a 30-minute escorted walk from the nearest roadhead. You cannot reach the property without a prior escort arrangement — please coordinate your arrival time with the retreat in advance, especially after reaching Kathgodam.

Note: An escort from the Soulitude team is mandatory to reach the property. Please coordinate your arrival time in advance. No check-in is permitted after dark. Parking is available in Chanfi village — complimentary for guests, with pickup/drop charges paid directly to the local operator.

Meeting Point 1 — Jhoola Pul (Suspension Bridge): From Bhimtal, take a U-turn at Khutani Gate towards Padampuri ? cross the small iron bridge at Chanfi village (4 km after Khutani Gate) ? turn left onto the dirt road between the shops and the dhaba ? proceed 1 km to the suspension bridge (dead end). Soulitude staff will meet you here. Property reached via a 30-minute countryside trail walk.
Meeting Point 2 — Rainy Season Only: From Khutani Gate, proceed towards Padampuri for 8 km until the 6 km milestone ? look for the Soulitude sign on the left. Property reached via a 20–30 minute downhill forest trail. Return is a steep uphill climb of 30–45 minutes.

The retreat is accessible only on foot via a 30-minute escorted trail walk from the roadhead. An escort from Soulitude staff is mandatory — you cannot find the property without one.
Coordinate your expected arrival time with Soulitude in advance. Fine-tune your arrival once you reach Kathgodam.
No check-in or check-out is permitted after dark, given the forest surroundings.
Porters are available to carry luggage — guests are requested to pack lightly as a courtesy.
