Join us in The Lake Tour and travel through the true beauty of Kumaon hills covering the four great lakes of Kumaon- Nainital, Sattal, Bhimtal, Naukuchia Tal. The 4-day tour is a refreshing one wherein you will experience the joy of hills with the calm of lakes; a combination too good to overlook.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1Arrival at Nainital
Activities Possible: Local sightseeing
The distance between Delhi and Nainital is 332 km and it’ll take around 7-8hrs to reach Nainital from Delhi. The nearest railway station from Nainital is Kathgodam located at a distance of 34 km with a travel duration of 1hr (approx.). The nearest bus stand from Nainital is Haldwani Bus Stand.
We will pick you up from your location and take you to your comfortable abode.
As the journey till Naini long, you will spend the evening strolling across the nearby places and taking in this beautiful town. You will leave for Nainital Lake early in the next morning and reach by noon.
Day 2Nainital – Sattal – Bhimtal
Travel Time: 3 Hr
Activities Possible: Boating, shopping, local sightseeing, trekking
Places To Visit: Nainital Lake, Nainital Zoo, Eco Cave Gardens, Naina Peak, Mukteshwar Temple, Nainital Ropeway, Sattal Lake, Butterfly Museum, Methodist Ashram
After breakfast, you will explore the mesmerizing Nainital Lake and other beautiful locations of Nainital. We suggest boating through yachts, paddle boats, or rowing boats to enjoy the Naini Lake heartily. Some interesting places to visit in Dehradun are Nainital Zoo, Eco Cave Gardens, Naina Peak, Mukteshwar Temple, and Nainital Ropeway, among others.
After exploring Nainital you will travel towards Sattal Lake which is located 22 km from Nainital. It will take around 1hr to reach Sattal Lake.
Located at an altitude of 1,370 m, Sattal Lake sits below lush orchards among the dense forests of oak and pine trees. You will see plenty of migratory birds here. After exploring the beautiful landscapes of Sattal including Butterfly Museum and Methodist Ashram, you will travel towards Bhim Tal.
The distance between Sattal and Bhim Tal is 12.6 km and it will take around 30 min to reach Bhimtal.
Overnight stay at Bhimtal after a healthy dinner.
Day 3Bhimtal – Naukuchia Tal
Travel Time: 20 min
Activities: Boating, water sports, adventure sports, local sightseeing, shopping
Places To Visit: Bhimtal Lake, Victoria Dam, Bhimeshwara Mahadev Temple, Hanuman Garhi, Hidimba Parbat, Naukuchia Tal, Jungliagaon
After a heartfelt breakfast, you will travel to Bhimtal Lake. Bhimtal Lake is the largest lake among these four lakes and provides a drinking water supply. There is a small island at the center of the lake where a large aquarium is situated. The view of the captivating lake from the island is sheer joy.
You will visit iconic places of Bhimtal like Hanuman Garhi, Victoria Dam, Bhimeshwara Mahadev Temple, and Hidimba Parbat. After exploring Bhimtal, you will travel to Naukuchia Tal. Also known as the lake of nine corners, Naukuchia Tal is the deepest of all the four lakes. Here, you can try out water sports like parasailing, paragliding, fishing, rowing, yachting, etc. Every year in the month of May, an event ‘escape festival’ is held at Naukuchia Tal.
You will spend the day exploring the scenic hill station and stay overnight here after dinner.
Day 4Departure
You will leave early for Delhi after a healthy breakfast. The nearest railway station from Naukuchiatal is Kathgodam Railway Station located at a distance of 35 km from Naukuchaital. Pantnagar airport is the nearest airport at a distance of about 70 km from Naukuchiatal.
