College of Agribusiness Management (CABM) added one more chapter in the golden history of Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, the leading Agriculture University in India.
The College of Agribusiness Management (CABM) found agribusiness as a tool to sharpen the edges of the agriculture system in the country. It took the onus to develop and hone the techno-managers. CABM is keeping an eagle eye on the market and its changing environment so that it can mould itself and its students accordingly. Consequently it diversified its activities by launching new programmes -MBA for Engineers, MBA in Food Retail and Supply Chain and Ph.D. in Management. The college is also engaged in research, consultancy and MDPs.
The objectives of the College of Agribusiness Management (CABM) are:
- To impart education and training to young men and women for developing managerial skill in various areas of agribusiness and other sectors of the economy.
- to offer training courses for policy makers, executives and those in charge of various business projects;
- to conduct research on problems in corporate sector and to improve the management of business enterprises and projects;
- to assist business organizations in solving their management problems by providing consulting services, and
- to contribute to the formulation of business policy of the State and Central government.

Academic Programmes in College of Agribusiness Management (CABM)
College conduct Two-years full time MBA Programme in three specializations viz; Agribussiness, Food and retail and supply chain and for engineers. The eligibility qualifications are as under:
MBA for Engineers
Indian nationals having Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering/Technology from AICTE approved Institutions/UGC approved Universities are eligible to apply for the Master of Business Administration degree programme.
MBA in Agribusiness
Indian nationals having Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural chemicals, Dairy Science/ Technology, Fisheries, Food Science/ Technology, Forestry, Home Science, Horticulture or Veterinary Science
MBA in Food Retail and Supply Chain
Indian nationals having Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in any branch of Engineering/Technology, Agriculture, Agricultural chemicals, Dairy Science/ Technology, Fisheries, Food Science/ Technology, Forestry, Home Science, Horticulture or Veterinary Science
Ph.D. in Management
The eligibility of the programme is masters’ degree in management, economics, agricultural economics, or commerce with an OGPA of not less than 6.500/10.00 or 4.000/5.000 or first division in case of the Universities where grading system is not applicable.
Admissions in MBA in College of Agribusiness Management (CABM)
CABM has devised the selection procedure with the thought of evaluating the overall competency and personality of the candidate. The initial screening of the students is done through CAT (Common Admission Test) conducted by IIMs. The screened candidates are called for interview and group discussion. The students who jump up over the bar are admitted to MBA. This gives rise to a rare blend of professionals that are eager to match themselves on the touchstone and serve the country.
