Day 01: Arrival in Joshimath (290 km drive). Stay in Himalayan Abode Homestay
Day 02: Joshimath to Govindghat (22 kms drive). Govindghat to Ghanghria (14 kms trek). Stay in Luxury Camp/Deluxe hotel or similar
Day 03: Valley of Flowers (5 km trek one way). Stay in Ghangharia
Day 04: Hemkund Sahib (6 km trek one way). Stay in Ghangharia.
Day 05: Ghanghria to Govindghat (14 kms trek). Govindghat to Joshimath (22 kms drive). Stay in Himalayan Abode or similar in Joshimath.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1Arrival in Joshimath (Relax)
Reach Joshimath in your own vehicle and evening free to relax and acclimatize. Dinner and overnight stay at Joshimath - Himalayan Abode Homestay (Ranked #1 property in Joshimath)
Joshimath is a small town in the Uttarakhand Garhwal hills on the banks of Alaknanda River. This place is very famous for Sankracharya temple and is also the hub for many mountaineering and trekking expedition in Garhwal Himalayas.
Day 2Joshimath to Govindghat (drive) to Ghangharia (trek)
Post early breakfast, meet your guide. Post briefing, drive from Joshimath to Govindghat (a small hamlet situated on the confluence of Alaknanda and roaring Laxman Ganga and start point for the fully escorted trek).
Govindghat to Ghanghria (base village for Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib) is a beautiful trek route with magnificent views and river accompanying you throughout. Hot lunch on the trek route. In the late afternoon, arrive at Ghanghria on the banks of Laxman Ganga. Dinner and overnight stay in Ghangria at Hotel Himsarovar, Luxury Premium Camps or similar.
Day 3Ghangharia - Valley of Flowers - Ghangharia
Post breakfast, start our fully escorted trek to Valley of Flowers. The first part of the trek is through thick forest along the Pushpavati river. Later we trek in the open meadows. Arrive and explore the area. Witness several varieties of rare flowers including Blue Poppy, Potentilla, Geranium and hundreds of others. Full day to explore Valley of Flowers – UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Packed lunch, flasks full of hot beverages as well as assorted refreshments will be arranged. Return to Ghangharia in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4Ghangharia - Hemkund Sahib - Ghangharia
Post breakfast today we start our fully escorted trek to Hemkund - internationally acclaimed, one of the finest high latitude lakes in Uttarakhand Himalayas. It is also a place of worship for Sikhs and Hindus. Its an uphill trek to reach Hemkund.
See the crystal clear lake with astonishing views of surrounding peaks, visit Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara and Lakshman Temple on the banks of the lake. Return to Ghangharia in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5Ghangharia - Govindghat - Joshimath (Drive)
Post breakfast, we start our trek back from Ghangharia to Govindghat and then drive to Joshimath. Hot lunch on the trek route. Dinner and overnight stay in Joshimath.
Note: if time permits, stroll in the small but busy Joshimath local market area, visit famous Shankaracharya Math (shrine), Kalpavriksha and Narsimha temple.
Day 6Departure from Joshimath
Post early breakfast, start your journey back to city life in your own vehicle with fond memories. Our trek services will end at Joshimath.

Package Exclusions
- Travel Insurance or any other kind of insurance(Trekkers are advised to obtain applicable insurance on their own)
- Costs and expenses for medical treatment in case of evacuation or in case of any medical condition or emergency or otherwise for any reason
- Any accommodation, travel or transport (or any change/upgrade thereof) outside of the above itinerary for any reason
- Charges for helicopter ride between Govindghat to Ghangharia and back
- Hire charges for mules / porters / equipment if hired by trekkers for personal ride or extra personal luggage
- Charges for hot water at Ghangharia (Rs 50 per bucket). Hot water geysers are available in Joshimath
- Entry tickets to Valley of Flowers for foreign nationals
- Charges to carry camera/video equipment inside Valley of Flowers
- Meals other than B,L,S,D as indicated in the itinerary or charges for mineral water, other beverages or drinks
- Charges for helicopter ride, ropeway, chair-car or any sightseeing not mentioned in the itinerary
- Any expense of personal nature or any gifts, sightseeing, tips, offerings, Pooja expenses or donations
- Any drinks, tips for the guide, porters, drivers, etc
- Any other cost or expense which is not specifically included in the price inclusion
Important Information
- Being peak monsoon, weather in Ghangharia, Valley of Flowers and Hemkund could be rainy and cold, with temperature ranging from max 20 degrees Celsius to min 5 degrees Celsius. It is recommended that clients carry suitable warm clothing, protective gear for rainy season and good shoes
- Clients are advised to consult their physician and take suitable preventive medication (if prescribed) as a precaution for high altitude sickness
- Trekking on any particular day may be aborted or cancelled in case of extreme/unfavourable weather conditions, keeping in mind safety of the clients. Trek leader’s decision on this will be final and binding on clients. No refund of costs or any compensation will be paid to clients in such case
- All clients (and parents on behalf of minors) will have to complete and sign mandatory Client Information and Waiver Form before starting the trek
- We expect clients to respect local culture and traditions, particularly when visiting temples, Holy places or interacting with locals
- We promotes ecologically sensitive responsible tourism and we seek our clients’ support to help us leave minimum ecological footprint
