Bhaironghati remains opened only from May to November as the region is prone to heavy snowfall during winters. GMVN Tourist Rest House, Bhaironghati is surrounded by beautiful deodar forests. The highest river bridge in India, Lanka Pul is just 3kms from here. GMVN tourist bunglow at Bhaironghati is not electrified in order to preserve the nature. The generator runs from 7.30 P.M. to 11.00 P.M. and every room is provided with a kerosene lantern for the night. The rooms have basic amenities and are affordably priced.
Note : It is only operated in Summer months when the Gangotri temple open for pilgrims.
