Important advisory for Auli Camping

• Weather in Auli area and Gorson will be cold with temperature ranging from max 20 degrees Celsius to min –5 degrees Celsius. It is recommended that clients carry suitable and adequate warm clothing, protective gear for winter. Good shoes are recommended.
• Our campsites are well equipped and we provide quality tents suitable for season, sleeping bags, freshly cooked meals and natural stream water (boiled) for drinking. Camping chairs, separate kitchen tent and toilet tent facility will be available. Please note that water for bathing/washing clothes cannot be provided.
• Clients are advised to consult their physician and take suitable preventive medication (if prescribed) as a precaution for high altitude sickness (Altitude 10,000 ft above sea level).

Q. Where exactly do we start, from Auli or Joshimath? 
A. This package starts from Auli only. Our representative will meet you at Auli GMVN Complex.

Q. If starting from Auli, how to get there via ropeway, and how long does it take? 
A. If you are taking Ropeway from Joshimath to Auli, then you must get down at Tower Number 8. Then after a small walk, you can take Chair Car (downhill) to reach GMVN Complex. By ropeway it takes hardly 15-20 minutes, rest of time will be in queue which depends on the rush in Joshimath.

Q. What after 3rd day's morning breakfast? 
A. Our camping package will end after breakfast. You can Check out and departure from Auli. You can also extend your stay by paying Rs 2000 per person per day in Camps.

Q. Can we get all our luggage to the camping site or do we need to get a place somewhere just for luggage? 
A. You have to carry your luggage and belongings to Campsite.

Q. Where/How do we get boots etc? What amenities do we need to bring along the for the trek? 
A. You can get on boots/shoes, trekking pole on rent in Auli. Our guide will help you in that, rent charges will be extra and to be paid to rent vendor only.

Q. How are the washrooms over there? Do we get the bath facilities?
A. There will be toilet tents (dry pit toilets, generally used during trekking and camping). There are no fixed toilets over there. No bath facilities are available over there, but you will get warm water for freshen up.

A. The cost per person on twin/triple sharing is Rs 4900 + 5% GST cost per person for 2 nights camping tour.

Q. Can we get a place to stay in Joshimath for the evening we reach?
A. Yes, there are plenty of hotels in Joshimath. You can book in advance from various online hotel booking websites.

Q. Is skiing or snow activities included in this camping tour?
A. No, any skiing or snow activities are not included in this Auli camping tour package. However if you want to do skiing in Auli then you can check our Basic Skiing Course of Auli.
