Best Time: The valley is accessible from June to August during the monsoon, when it blooms with wildflowers, though trekkers should be prepared for rain and moderate to challenging trail conditions.
Difficulty: The trek is considered moderate, suitable for beginners with good fitness, involving a total altitude gain to around 3,658 meters. Acclimatization is recommended.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1Dehradun / Rishikesh / Haridwar to Joshimath
- Meet our driver/guide and begin your journey to Joshimath
- Overnight stay at Joshimath
- En route, visit the sacred confluences: Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Nandprayag, Karnaprayag
- Arrive in Joshimath and check into the hotel
- In the evening, visit the Narsingh Temple
- Overnight stay at Joshimath
Day 2Joshimath to Govindghat to Ghangharia
- Morning: After breakfast, check out from the hotel
- Drive to Govindghat
- Start your trek to Ghangharia from Pulna Optionally, horses are available on extra payment
- From Govindghat, take a local jeep (at own cost) to reach Pulna
- Arrive in Ghangharia and check into the hotel
Ghangharia is a small, picturesque village located in Uttarakhand, nestled at an altitude of around 10,000 feet. It serves as the base camp for Valley of Flowers. Accessible only by foot or mule, Ghangharia is open to visitors from May to October due to heavy snowfall in winter. The village has limited infrastructure but offers basic accommodations and food for pilgrims and trekkers.
Day 3Ghangharia to Valley of Flowers to Ghangharia
- Early morning (around 05:00 AM – 06:00 AM), start your trek to Valley of Flowers
- Explore the 8 km long valley filled with a variety of unique and seasonal flowers
- Later, trek back to Ghangharia
- Spend time admiring the natural beauty and floral diversity
- Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at Ghangharia
The Valley of Flowers is at around 12,000 feet, part of the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve, it is famous for its vibrant meadows of wildflowers and rich biodiversity, especially during the monsoon months (July to September). Discovered by British mountaineer Frank Smythe in 1931, the Valley of Flowers is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It attracts nature lovers and trekkers, and is home to rare species like the Asiatic black bear, snow leopard, musk deer, and blue sheep.
The Valley of Flowers is accessible via a moderate trek from Ghangharia and is known for its natural beauty, tranquility, and ecological importance. Overnight stays are not allowed to protect its fragile environment. It's a visually stunning and spiritually enriching experience in the Himalayas.
Day 4Ghangharia to Govindghat to Srinagar
- Morning: After breakfast, check out from the hotel
- Trek down to Pulna
- Take a local jeep (on direct payment basis, not included in cost) from Pulna to Govindghat
- From Govindghat, drive to Srinagar
- Overnight stay at Srinagar
Day 5Srinagar to Dehradun / Haridwar / Rishikesh
- Morning: After breakfast, check out from the hotel
- Drive to Dehradun / Haridwar / Rishikesh
- Drop-off at your preferred location: Dehradun / Haridwar / Rishikesh
