By Air
The Maldaru Tal Trek starts from Sankri which is located in Uttarakhand and is accessible from Dehradun very easily. You can travel to Dehradun by flight and land up at Jolly Grant Airport which experiences frequent flights from various parts of the country like New Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow and a number of other places in India.
By Rail
The Dehradun Railway Station is the nearby Railway Station. You can also reach the Rishikesh and Haridwar Railway Station depending on your convenience. All of these towns have frequent trains from around the country and therefore you can easily reach your destination.
By Road
Sankri village is the base camp and is also the nearest road head for Maldaru lake trek. From here you can start your trek. Direct morning buses from Dehradun to Sankri are available from Mussoorie bus stand, Dehradun which is just adjacent to Dehradun railway station. From Sankri, the trek is about 27km (one side).
