The Nanda Devi is located in the Garhwal Himalayas in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand between the Rishiganga valley on the west and the Goriganga valley on the east. The Nanda Devi has a spectacular elevation of 7,816m (25,643ft).

You can reach to Munsyari only by road route. Nearest railhead to Munsyari is Kathgodam and Pantnagar is the nearest airport. For further route, you can book cabs to Munsyari or can travel through by public transport.
Many trekking companies also provide transport facility from Kathgodam railway sataion.
