Gananath: Located 47kms north of Almora, Gananath is famous for an old Shiva Temple. There are numerous natural caves in this region where people in ancient times used to stay while visiting the sacred shrines spread over the Himalayas.
Someshwar: It houses a temple with Lord Shiva as its presiding deity. Located around some 35kms from Almora, Someshwar temple in Almora was constructed by the founder of the Chand Dynasty, Raja Som Chand. The name of the temple is derived derives by merging Raja Som Chand's and Lord Maheshwara's name. The temple holds great religious importance among locals.
Shitla Khet (Sheetlakhet): Shitla Khet is famous not only for its picturesque beauty of the snow capped mountains but also for its apple orchards. Camps for the scouts are held in Shital Khet.
