Mythological Tale related to Nal Damyanti Tal

Nal Damyanti Tal has been a well-kept secret and not many people have heard its story. The folklore goes that King Nala and his beautiful wife, Queen Damyanti lived happily in their royal place. The queen who was known for her unparallel beauty chose King Nala over the Gods. Many opposed her decision saying that she has angered the gods by marrying a human and were envious of the couple’s togetherness. Soon after, the queen started having unusual dreams every night about a spirit asking her the same question, “Can I come inside”. One night the queen replied ‘Yes’ and the evil spirit entered her body and their beautiful palace collapsed like a pack of cards into the lake, now known as Nal Damyanti Tal.
