Fourth Kedar Rudranath Temple Doors Opened Amid Devotional Chants

The doors of the Fourth Kedar Lord Rudranath Temple were ceremoniously opened for devotees at 4:00 am today, following traditional puja rituals. Over 500 devotees gathered to witness this sacred moment, filling the temple with resounding chants of "Jai Rudranath" and "Baba" as the doors opened. The temple was beautifully adorned with marigold flowers, creating a vibrant and spiritual atmosphere for the occasion.

Rudranath Yatra Update: Daily Limit Set to 140 Devotees, Entry Allowed Only Till 2 PM

District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari has announced that a maximum of 140 devotees will be allowed to undertake the Rudranath Yatra each day, with the entry time restricted to before 2 PM. Pilgrimage permits will be available through both online and offline modes.

In a recent meeting, the District Magistrate instructed the Forest Department to improve the condition of the footpath and install proper signboards and reflectors along the route. He also directed officials to ensure BSNL network connectivity is available throughout the Yatra path.

The doors of the fourth Kedar Rudranath were closed for the winter season at 6 am on Thursday in the Brahma Muhurta. After covering a distance of 18 km on foot, the Utsav Doli of Rudranath reached the winter seat Gopeshwar late in the evening. After this, the Utsav Doli was installed in the Gopinath temple.

Badrinath, Kedarnath temples will close at 4 pm on October 28 due to lunar eclipse

All temples governed by the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, including the Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines, will observe closure at 4 pm on Saturday due to the lunar eclipse.

The Badrinath and Kedarnath temples are scheduled to reopen during the brahma muhurta after the morning purification puja on Sunday.

Other affiliated shrines affected by the closure include the Shri Narasingh Temple in Joshimath, Second Kedar Madmaheshwar, Third Kedar Tungnath, Shri Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath, and Yoga Badri.
