Dehradun schools were featured in the top 10 ranks in different categories in the 15th annual Education World India School Rankings (EWISR) survey conducted by Education World magazine in association with C Fore, Delhi.
This particular survey was conducted with data gathered by interview method by 122 field researchers persuading 14,221 SEC (socio-economic category) ‘A’ fees paying parents, teachers, principals, educationists and senior school students in 28 cities and education hubs across India. The survey was conducted to rate the country's Top 4,000 schools on 14 parameters of education excellence.
The EWISR 2022-23 rankings has released in Bengaluru. The survey ranks the country’s top 4,000 schools in 10 categories including Day: Co-ed, Boys and Girls, Day-cum-boarding, Boarding: Co-ed, Girls and Boys, International: Day, Day-cum-boarding and fully Residential. Moreover, Vintage, Private Budget, Special Needs and Government schools are also ranked separately.
In Vintage International Residential Schools category, Woodstock School, Mussoorie tops the chart and in International Residential Schools category, Mussoorie International School ranked number 2 in India. In Vintage Co-ed Day Schools, St Thomas College, Dehradun ranked 10th. In Vintage Girls Day Schools, Convent of Jesus & Mary, Dehradun ranked 11th. In Vintage Boys Boarding Schools, St. George’s College, Mussoorie ranked 4th. In Vintage Girls Boarding Schools, Convent of Jesus & Mary, Waverley, Mussoorie tops the chart. In Vintage Co-Ed Boarding Schools, Wynberg Allen School, Mussoorie ranked 4th.
According to EWISR 2022-23, various schools from Dehradun which made it to the top 10 positions include seven schools in the girls boarding school category, namely Welham Girls School ranked 2nd in India, Ecole Globale International Girls School ranked 3rd, Hopetown Girls School ranked 4th, Unison World School ranked 7th, Vantage hall Girls Residential School ranked 8th and Shigally Hill International Academy, Dehradun with The Doon Girls School, Dehradun shared the 10th rank. Guru Nanak Fifth Centenary School (Girls), Mussoorie has been ranked 11th.
Among the boys boarding schools, The Doon School and Welham Boys School jointly ranked 1st in India, Guru Nanak Fifth Centenary School (Boys), Mussoorie, came fifth in EW Boys Boarding Schools Ranking in India.
Among the Co-ed boarding schools, Selaqui International School ranked 4th while Kasiga School ranked 6th. Apart from Top 10 ranks, The Indian Public School ranked 22nd, The Pestle Weed School ranked 27th, Cambrian Hall ranked 30th, The Aryan School ranked 36th and Tulas International School ranked 39th in India's Top Co-ed Boarding Schools in India.
Among Co-ed Day Schools rankings, Doon International School, Dehradun ranked 120th, DPS Dehradun and St Josephs Academy, Dehradun shared 124th position jointly, Summer Valley School, Dehradun ranked 157th and Brightlands Schools ranked 160th in India.
