Bigul Village in Bageshwar

The sunset view from the vantage is another perk of visitingthis village. The village gets its name from ‘bugle’ – a simple brassinstrument used by Britishers during the colonial era to signal the villagers to congregate at a single place and pay their lagaan (taxes).

Dholinaag Temple: Located at Bigul, Dholinag is a revered Shiva temple that is visited by locals as well as villagers from nearby villages. The temple is situated atop a hill at Bigul.

Nearest railway station to Bigul is at Kathgodam (212 kms) while the nearest airport is located at Pantnagar, some 238 kms away.
