The nearby lakes of Sattal and Khurpatal have also obtained permit for angling. Resorts in Jim Corbett offer several tour packages which include angling of Mahaseer, a trout fish found in Uttarakhand. 

Kali River in Pithoragarh, Pancheshwar on the bank of Mahakali River in Kumaon are among the few places to enjoy this activity in Uttarakhand. The beautiful Dodital in Garhwal Region, which is also one of the popular trekking destinations, also allows the opportunity for angling and fishing. 

Angling is a method of fishing which is a fish hook or angle is used to catch the fish. In Uttarakhand one has to take permission from local authorities for angling on ‘Catch and Release basis’.
