Anasakti Ashram

Anasakti Ashram is a peaceful place in Kausani famous for the stay of Mahatma Gandhi for two weeks in 1929. Also known as Gandhi Ashram, this place was described by Gandhi Ji himself as the Switzerland of India, after falling in love with its pristine beauty. 

In the same place he treatise and practised the Anasakti Yoga. There is a small prayer room in this ashram where prayers are held every morning and evening.

The ashram is build in a way to have a mental peace and the environment is pollution free. There is a small museum showcasing Ghandhiji words and photographs including of his stay at the ashram. Its now merged with a study and research centre.In the Ashram, there is an accommodation facility for tourist and visitors (24 rooms only). 

Interested tourist are also offered with the facility of library as well as kitchen. It has been become a well known and a famous ashram because of the its attachment with Mahatma Gandhi. It has an naturally beloved and socio-cultural landscape and a place with healthier environment.
